![]() It's the week of Thanksgiving, and here at Foundations Christian School, we're gearing up to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving feast with the students. Once we finish the day today, it will be time for us to take a well-deserved break, while we enjoy some time with our families to celebrate this important holiday. This time of year, we always stress to the children that it's important to give thanks for everything we have. However, I'd like to challenge all of us to remain in a thankful spirit, even after the turkey has been carved and the pumpkin pie has been put away. That's a little bit harder, isn't it? The Bible says in 1 Chronicles 16:34, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." Yes, it's important to remember to be thankful to God during the Thanksgiving season, but how thankful are we during the rest of the year? Even if your family is struggling with a trial right now, you still have a lot to be thankful for. Think about it:
Sometimes we forget that, compared to the rest of the world, we are truly a rich nation. We are so blessed, and it's important to remember how much God has given us. Here at Foundations Christian School, we'd like to wish you and your family a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!
