A Special Thank You From Foundations Christian School On Veterans Day

For most children, today is a day off from school. They woke up this morning, they had their breakfast in their pajamas, and they watched television or played video games for a little while. It felt like a Saturday for them.

However, we know the significance of this day as adults, and it's important to pass that significance along to the next generation. We need to make sure that they will never forget how the members of our military fought to protect their rights and their freedom. 

Millions of Americans have given their lives to protect our freedom. Think about that for just a moment. Sometimes we forget how free we really are in America. It's because of the sacrifices of our military that we're able to even have a Christian school in Big Flats, NY. It's because of them that we're able to sit in the church of our choosing on Sunday morning and worship God. 

Today, make sure to say thank you to someone you know who served in the U.S military. Be sure to take a minute and pray for the families of those who have lost loved ones who served. 

And be sure to remind your children of how blessed they are to live in America.
