Many parents have spent the 2013-2014 school year cringing over everything from Common Core standards to reports of bullying their kids have experienced in school. If you're reading this post, you may be able to relate, and it's possible that you have started to think about a different form of education for your children. Homeschooling and private Christian schools are becoming more and more popular with parents because of their desires to remove their children from public schools. There are many benefits of each, of course. As a parent, it's up to you to make the decision that's best for your children, and for your family. Let's take a look at a few of those benefits. Homeschool Homeschooling has many obvious benefits that many families have enjoyed for years. Parents enjoying having more control over their child's curriculum. They get to decide (within the state's standards) what information is learned by their children, and when they learn it. Parents also have the opportunity to show their kids how much fun learning can be. A simple trip to the grocery store suddenly turns into a math lesson, or a family vacation to Gettysburg doubles as a history field trip. Kids benefit from homeschooling because they are given the individual attention they need (and crave) allowing them to work on areas where they seem to struggle the most in ways that just aren't possible in a public school setting. Private Christian School Private Christian schools are another excellent education alternative for families. When both parents work, homeschooling presents many challenges, especially for younger children. A private Christian school also offers children the chance to grow and mature socially, even though many areas offer similar programs for families of homeschooled children. Christian schools provide teaching that upholds the Christian values that are important to parents, and positive "peer pressure" aids in the adoption of these values at home. Many Christian schools are also small enough that students can enjoy one on one communication with their teachers on a regular basis, giving them the extra help they need, and allowing them to excel at their own paces. Here at Foundations Christian School, we offer an excellent education alternative for children, and in the last few months, our numbers have grown even more. Whether you have been thinking about transitioning your children out of public school, or you've tried homeschooling in the past, you might have some questions about how a quality Christian education can work for your children, and benefit your family. It can be so difficult to raise strong children in the world today. It is becoming harder and harder to find schools with Christian values anymore. I like that you mentioned how private Christian schools can offer and instill morals and values into your children at school. This would be great for our three young kids.

You made a good point when you shared that a private Christian school will provide the chance for the kid to grow socially as he or she gets to mingle around with the other peers. My friend just mentioned the other day that she is thinking of enrolling her son in school next year as she is going to start working after taking a break from her job for almost a few years. I will suggest to her sending him to a reliable Christian preschool so he gets to socialize with other kids his age.

It's great that you talked about how Christian schools provide specialized religious programs. My sister's very religious, and she's been educating her son from home since forever. She just got a more demanding job, so she won't be able to keep teaching her son. That's why I think this could be a good option for her, so I'll be sure to share it. Thanks for the information about the benefits of attending a Christian school.

I want to make sure that my son gets the right education. It makes sense that a private Christian school would be really beneficial. That seems like a great way to ensure that he gets attention in class.

I love how you said that private Christian schools can be great for giving your kids one on one instruction from teachers and helping them excel. My husband and I are considering our options of high school for our 15-year-old son. We will have to look into finding a reputable Christian private school that will help our son excel in education.

It's good to know that their teachings uphold Christian values! My sister was telling me last night about how she has been thinking about if she should send her child to a Christian school in the fall, or keep her homeschooled. I'll make sure to pass this information along to her so that she can know the benefits of Christian schools!

It was really interesting when you explained that private Christian schools offer children the chance to grow and mature socially. In my opinion, it is important for kids to learn how to communicate with others at a young age. Learning communication skills at a young age can help kids lead successful lives.

I'm delighted you highlighted that Christian schools offer instruction that upholds essential Christian ideals. Reading your article, brought back memories of my sister's insistence on starting her daughter's schooling. She can enroll in a Christian school if I let her know about this. I'll look into local schools that can accommodate us.

I particularly appreciated your emphasis on the importance of considering the needs and preferences of both the parent and the child when making this decision. Every family is unique, and what works best for one may not necessarily be the right fit for another.
