Our first "week" of school was a great success! Unlike public schools, at Foundations Christian School, we have the ability to slow things down a bit. It's kind of nice being a small school, although, we're really excited about the growth that we know God has for us in the near future. During the first week of school, our teachers were able to take the time and really get to know the students well. We really feel that it's important to talk with each student and learn what he or she likes or doesn't like about school. Many of our students have to us from a public school education, so they were quite unfamiliar with this technique. It was our goal to get to know each student as an individual. We learned a lot about how each of them learns the best, which subjects they really like, and which ones give them the most problems. This is allowing us to tailor their education to suit their needs. It's exciting to hear things like, "I'm getting through a whole lesson in one day! In public school, a lesson would have taken me four days!" There's something to be said about a smaller school and a Christian education. We're on the right track! Now that the first full week of school is here, the students are digging into their studies. They're all excited about the things they're learning, and we're thrilled to see them grow in their faith, as well as in their education. We hope that you'll join us this Thursday evening for our first fundraiser of the year. Our Spaghetti Dinner will be a great success, and we're grateful that you will be a part of it. For more information on the dinner, please check out this blog post. If you're not satisfied with the education your child is getting, it might be time to think about a change. We'd love to talk to you about what we can offer your cchild
